"It had a large menu and ample portions. Also, many different wines for sale plus a large display of gifts to purchase. A nice outside patio as well. A good choice." -- Carol Noyes, Google Review September 2024

"Extremely memorable and delicious food & wine. The attention to quality is outstanding. Cozy laid back atmosphere." -- Sarah Edwards, Google Review May 2024

"Great service and amazing food. We got the Artisan Cheese Plate (so good) and I got the mushroom ravioli. Get it. The sauce was so good I honestly scraped the plate with the last few pieces. Amazing. Dog friendly as well (Willow - who is generally a picky eater- ate an entire half of a juicy burger, as shown in the picture). I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in Los Olivos. Perfect spot for lunch while you're wine tasting." --Jennifer H., Mission Viejo, CA, 5 Star Yelp Review, June 14, 2021

"I visit Wine Merchant Cafe as often as humanly possible. My family and I are wine members in the area and we visit minimum one time per trip. The mushroom ravioli is my favorite dish on the menu, and so is the mushroom/ arugula pizza.

The mushroom ravioli is creamy and cooked in this sauce that make it so savory yet it's kind of light -- when you finish eating it, you don't feel like you need to be rolled out of the restaurant.

The wine selection is pretty massive. The employees give good recommendations especially for parties who are split between white wine and red wine lovers.

The menu changed slightly ever since COVID hit, but it hasn't stopped them from serving fantastic food. They do adhere to COVID regulations, and despite only outdoor seating rules, the three times I've come during COVID, I was seated right away! No wait!

I love this place. I wish it was my home. Lol jk.......  I'm looking forward to going back soon." -- Kristine D., Claremont, CA 5 Star Yelp Review, December 17, 2020

"Absolutely loved this place!  I had the housemade ravioli. The pasta was made fresh and was the best I had. Fresh bread with tasty olive oil dipping sauce   The ambience was romantic. Service was fantastic. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend." -- Karen G. Moorpark, CA  5 Star Yelp Review, January 24th, 2020

"Always amazing!! We had a wonderful mother -daughter-grandmother weekday lunch. Weather was amazing so we dined on the patio. I'm always hesitant to patio dine, fearing our server will forget about us. This was not the case . Wonderful service. My mom had a cup of the broccoli soup and loved it! The three of us shared the Artisan Cheese Plate; we really enjoyed the cheese selections & the fig jam was perfect. And none of our fans if figs but it was wonderfully paired. We also had the alba pizza, which we always enjoy. None of us are huge tomato sauce fans so this is always a winner. For dessert my daughter had the Café Affogato, it was one of the best we have ever had. I forgot to ask what espresso they use. The dessert was the perfect ending to a delightful lunch." Kristine M., Santa Maria, CA, 5 Star Yelp Review, November 24, 2019

"Second visit here, superb food and service.
Tomato soup was historic, bread to be eaten by the bakery load only(scrumptious)
What a great sleepy location.
Make this a stop on a road trip, you will not be disappointed."

"Had an amazing meal. Was late afternoon and most places were closed. We stumbled onto Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Cafe hungry and tired and left with good cheer and well fed.

The late lunch menu was terrific. The Little Gem lettuce salad, baked brie and grilled za'atar flatbread appetizers were fantastic. Combined with the lavender champagne and it was the perfect light late lunch.

Our friends and family then joined us and all of their entrees looked and tasted terrific.

Don't think you could go wrong with any of their choices.

Looking forward to returning."

"Delicious food, great wine selections, great ambience both inside and out, excellent service, everyone is great, but Lonni is the best btw. Our favorites are the Orecchiette, mushroom ravioli, and Baked Brie appetizer.  Though I doubt there's anything you would order and not like. Enjoy!

"I would drive from San Diego for a meal and drive home again (maybe the next day.....)
Among my top favorite CA restaurants."

OpenTable Diner, San Diego, CA, OpenTable, 9/22/18

"We loved that they have flight options for the wine of the month. And we visited for my husbands birthday and thought it was super sweet they gave him a piece of chocolate cake and ice cream with a candle. We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant about a year ago while traveling through the area and have been coming back ever since. Love the quality food and wine!!"
OpenTable Diner, Los Angeles, CA, OpenTable 8/11/2018

"Perfect wine country lunch! We had a pizza, roasted veggies, and the greens salad with a couple glasses of wine. Make sure you take some time to peruse their entire wine offering!"
Sonja, Local Guide, Google Review, 4/27/2018

"Famous movie location, but it keeps its class. Great wine selection, farm fresh produce, laid-back atmosphere, and with exceptional service. Celiac-friendly with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. A great, upscaled experience to enhance any trip in the Santa Ynez Valley."
